So just in front of the view of the bay I see our neighbours house. Here's a quick sketch and while it's no Hockney, it shows sometimes it's just fun to keep it loose, lazy and focus only on specific points of interest rather than everything the eye sees.
My office view for the past four weeks has been staring out over the beautiful Matiu Somes Island in Wellington Bay. I've used this time to focus more on just drawing with Japanese brush pens, trying not to be a perfectionist. While the lines are wonky and the scene crude, the playful looseness means I can concentrate on art and move away from the clinical precision that sometimes comes with vector graphics.
Some festive cheese to celebrate the silly season. Here I took the old Association crest and reworked some of the elements. Would you think to use Illustrator for your work's digital messages? If you don't have the image you want it can be a great way to create it.
Ok it's a bit crappy but this was a five min doodle, taken into Illustrator to digitally colour. Keeping it loose.
Ok so this is what happens when I drink beer. I think this is a perfect excuse to drink more beer.
If any brewers have any beer that needs sampling that you'd like me to draw from... I am happy to oblige. Just saying. |
